Restorative Yoga is a deeply relaxing practice that helps restore balance to the mind, body and spirit.  During a class, students are typically led through four to six different poses.   Poses are held for longer periods of time and props such as blankets, bolsters and pillows are used to hold students in positions of comfort and ease.  This gentle opening and supported “letting go” facilitates the release of tension and deep relaxation.  In this more balanced state the immune system is better supported and the body’s natural healing abilities work much more effectively.  The classes are gentle and appropriate for everyone.  For this online Restorative format, a list of suggested props will be sent out prior to class.

Supporting Your Winter Wellbeing - Lymphatic & Respiratory Systems

Stress has been identified as the cause for about 80% of all persistent health issues. Gentle and Restorative Yoga are preventative practices that serve us in order to deal with stress in a healthy way. Please join Lynn Mighton and Beth Rutty for two yoga practices in one evening.  Practices that boost your lymphatic, immune and respiratory systems setting you up on a path for winter wellbeing.


We will begin the evening sharing some information about these systems and why these practices are helpful. We will then guide you through each practice so you can experience the benefits for yourself. Access will be given to the recorded workshop so you can utilize the practices and support your health and wellbeing throughout the winter months.

 

The Lymphatic System is a network of tissues and organs that help your body get rid of toxins and waste. It also transports the immune boosting, infection fighting white blood cells throughout the body. Beth will explore breath, self massage, movement and stillness to serve the lymphatic system that relies on us moving to do its job.


Lynn will take you through a fully supported Restorative Yoga Practice that addresses your Respiratory System, specifically for the healthy functioning of your lungs and to boost your immunity. Especially helpful if you are fighting any respiratory illness like cold or flu.
Restorative Yoga supports and balances the central nervous system. It facilitates the release of tension and invites deep relaxation. In this more balanced state the immune system and the body’s natural healing abilities work much more effectively at keeping you healthy. Join us and support your winter wellbeing!

Restorative Yoga, Reiki & Reiki Drumming

        Restorative Yoga focuses on relaxing the body in postures supported by         props such as bolsters and blankets.  This support allows the body to            deeply relax.  Poses are held for longer periods of time allowing                    students to connect with their breath and move into a deeper inner                space. 

These sessions are offered for small groups of up to three people.  They combine a series of held restorative Yoga poses with the use of hands on (or hands above) Reiki energy healing and the Reiki Drum Technique.  Sessions are 90 minutes in length.  Cost is $75 for up to three people.


Restorative Yoga and Reiki Drumming

These 90 minute sessions are offered for small groups. Minimum $60 for up to three people.
