About Lynn

Lynn was initially drawn to yoga over 30 years ago as a way to manage stress and anxiety during an especially difficult time.  Over the past 25 years, her love for yoga has drawn her back and she has practiced with a range of different teachers both in Canada, the UK and the United States.

Inspired to study yoga more deeply, Lynn embarked on her Teacher Training with Alex Bovkis of Shanti Yoga in Hamilton (both 200 & 300 YTT).  This powerful journey proved transformational.  She continued her training with Judith Lasater in Restorative Yoga and Richard Millar in Yoga Nidra.

Empowered by the transformative and healing nature of yoga, Lynn invites students to explore movement, breath and subtle energy awareness in a way that allows them to honour themselves and the innate wisdom of their own body.

Passionate about sharing yoga Lynn hopes that students discover, through their own practice, a sense of flexibility, strength and ability to move with ease. Perhaps even more important though, she hopes that through yoga students discover a place of inner silence, inner peace and an embodied sense of contentment and joy.

Lynn is a certified Yoga Instructor (E-RYT 500), Certified Restorative Yoga Instructor and Certified Reiki Practitioner, Reiki Drum Practitioner and Reiki Master.  She received her Reiki Training and Certification in the UK.  She trained as a Yoga Instructor (200 hours) and advanced teacher training (300 hours) with Alex Bovkis of Shanti Yoga in Hamilton.  She trained as a Restorative Yoga Instructor with Judith Lasater in the United States.  Lynn is part of the teaching faculty for Shanti Yoga Studio's YTT 200 & 300 programs (now located at the Fitness Firm).
She is also a certified provider of Continuing Education with Yoga Alliance.
